Most of the towns and villages along the Tarka Trail are accessible by public transport.

Services and schedules can change between winter and summer months, so we have provided a list of links to help you to find the very latest, up to date information direct from the operators.

The Tarka Line runs regular services between Barnstaple and Exeter. Halfway through the route is Eggesford. The section between Barnstaple and Eggesford is a part of the Tarka Trail.

For the majority of the Tarka Trail, the best form of public transport is the bus.
