Southwest Coast Path Passports

The lovely people at The South West Coast have been overwhelmed by the success of their newly launched SWCP Passport.

In a nutshell, they are passport sized books that walkers can carry with them to be stamped at various locations along the path, several of which run through North Devon and along the Tarka Trail.

To find all the waymakers for North Devon and Tarka Trail, follow the link below:

One example waymarker on the Tarka Trail is the Pack O’ Cards hotel in Combe Martin who were recently featured on an episode of The Hotel Inspector.

Hotel expert and presenter Alex Polizzi, was very supportive and enthusiastic about the passport and helped the guys at The Pack O Cards get on the waymarker list whilst filming.

Spreading the word

SWCP have been spreading the word about their new passports and in a recent social media post had this to say:

We have been absolutely overwhelmed with the response to the launch of our Coast Path Passport! In fact we have been inundated with orders and have sold out of our first print run of passports within 24 hours – amazing! We have already ordered the next batch though so don’t worry – they will be available next week so keep your orders coming in. ?

Our Coast Path Passport is a colourful pocket-sized publication with an eco-kraft paper cover. There are 104 stamps to collect as you travel the route. The Passport is divided into seven sections, each with its own stamp design that reflects the heritage, history, or nature of the area it represents.

?ammonite for the Jurassic Coast
? wave for North Cornwall
? tin mine for West Cornwall
? lighthouse for South Devon
? moorland pony for Somerset & Exmoor
⚓️ anchor for South Cornwall
?for North Devon

Each stamp is created by Marc Hoskins at Wild Work. Marc also creates a lot of the signage you see as you travel along the SWCP. Big thanks to Marc for getting the stamps ready for launch!

What’s your favourite stamp design? We can’t really choose a favourite as we love them all, but the seal is pretty cute for North Devon!

Passports are available to purchase online from the SWCP shop:
